Friendship

You know when there are two people that, apart, aren't necessarily the coolest? Like they do the wrong things, get into trouble, and just aren't the best people ever, even though they try. I mean, they're decent, but not abnormally amazing. Above all, they're just unhappy with life. But then they meet each-other. They start hanging out, and they make each-other better. Like without even trying. When they're together (texting, talking, hanging out), they're just happier and better people from the inside out...I think it happens all the time, but it feels like a rare thing every time. Its like so breathtaking and GOOD, it never feels like normal.

When anybody meets anybody, it's magic, in my opinion. Whether or not they even get along. But God works things so weird sometimes. Some people are sent to you because you need patience, some are sent to you because you need to feel unloved and God's love can be realized in your life. Then sometimes...God delights in giving you somebody to make you joyous. And better. It's a way of building character without the hardship, I think.

Jesus, Jesus. by Noah Gundersen

"Jesus, Jesus, could you tell me what the problem is with the world and all the people in it? Because I’ve been hearing stories about the end of the world, but I’m in love with a girl and I don’t wanna leave her. And the television screams such hideous things, they’re talking about the war on the radio. They say the whole thing’s gonna blow and we will all be left alone--No, we’ll be dead and we won’t know what hit us.

Jesus, Jesus, if you’re up there, won’t you hear me? ‘Cause I’ve been wondering if you’re listening for quite a while. And Jesus, Jesus, it’s such a pretty place we live in, and I know we screwed it up, but please be kind. Don’t let us go out like the dinosaurs or blown to bits in a third world war. There are a hundred different things I’d still like to do. I’d like to climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower, look up from the ground at a meteor shower, and maybe even raise a family.

Jesus, Jesus, there are those that say they love you, but they have treated me so damn mean. And I know you said ‘forgive them for they know not what they do’, but sometimes I think they do, and I think about you. If all the heathens burn in hell, do all their children burn as well? What about the Muslims and the gays and the unwed mothers? What about me and all my friends? Are we all sinners if we sin? Does it even matter in the end if we’re unhappy?

Jesus, Jesus, I’m still looking for answers, though I know that I won’t find them here tonight. But Jesus, Jesus, could you call me if you have the time? And maybe we could meet for coffee and work it out. And maybe then I’ll understand what it’s all about."

No, I didn't die.

Hi! Its me. Yes, me. the long lost traveler. I've been away. Traveling with The Doctor.

Yeah right. I WISH. lol.
Yes, I know. There's absolutely no excuse. *hangs head*

Sooo. Whats up. I'm a total nerd. and yes I just figured that out. (DOCTOR WHO FTW!!!!)

What else. I got another horse. Her name is Summer.

She was maybe....18 months when I got her. And no one had ever been on her back. And I broke her to ride. She's absolutely amazing. X)

...And so is Major. :)

Aaaanyway. Thats all for now. Just cause mah horses are hungry and are gonna be mad if I don't go feed them NOW. lol ;)

Just letting y'all know I'm not dead.
Just a bit of advice...go hug a Time Lord. Namely, The Doctor. He always needs a hug. <3   :)

later, y'all!

Embarrassing fact

This is a post from my good friend over at Inaudible Melodies. Go see her blog! She's awesome. :)

Girls, we don't know how to take compliments from guys.

Guys don't know how to compliment girls.

The desolation and break-down of old fashion chivalry -for the most part, has lead to this. It simply makes us uncomfortable when a guy tells us we look nice, but this rarely happens where a crush, blindness or alcohol isn't involved.
This is unfortunate indeed.
Girls, we spend a lot of time and energy trying to look nice especially for times when minimal makeup and ponytail won't cut it, like a dance, church or evening out. Why does it make us feel nervous and awkward when a guy tells us "you look pretty"?

Perhaps it's caused by the lack of respect girl and guy friends have for eachother in our culture. Young men are not protecting and honouring their sisters in Christ. Young women are not being hounorable and pure, resulting in distrust and wariness of any boy who would compliment us without a double motive or sarcasm, and boys who don't want to.

Perhaps in a world of digital, shallow profile-picture compliments, we aren't used to genuine, human interaction and are caught off-guard when we encounter it.

Guys shouln't be afraid to compliment a girl. girls, we shouldn't be afraid to answer a compliment with an honoured "thank you"

Thoughts?
